TALK TALK TALK - African Photography Conversations is brought to you by the African Photographic Society, initiated by its members FOTEA and CAP Association. This programme is a collaboration with Untitled and their research project IF A TREE FALLS IN A FOREST.
Your host, Faridah Folawiyo, is an art historian and curator with a strong interest in photography. Working between London and Lagos, her attention belongs to the various forms photography is applied in and can be read as, to better understand the creation and upkeep of memory.
Faridah's guests for this episode are Egyptian artist Amina Kadous and Nigerian photographer, Logo Logor Oluwamuyiwa. In her work, Amina explores the concepts of memory and identity. Logor is an advocate for positive and rich storytelling via the digital media as a tool for reorientation.
TALK TALK TALK is a series of presentations and discussions around photography in African contexts with the aim of networking the different initiatives and photographers on the continent and beyond. The format was first introduced by APS members FOTEA and CAP Association at the 2019 Bamako Encounters in Mali. All episodes are available at www.talktalktalk.photo and Apple podcasts.
